Wow, Saturday night was truly SPORKtacular! We are still smiling and in disbelief that it actually happened! To say that we are completely overwhelmed with how well our first night went would be a huge understatement!

BIG thanks to:
• Nate Seider and the Smartbar staff for the opportunity and also for having everything run so smoothly before and during the party! And also for being our favorite Chicago venue with Funktion-One sound!
•The guest DJs and fellow Beat Chemistry members:Demarkus Lewis and Midway Hustle (aka EdNine/ DjMero / JSquare) for the awesome sets! It was great to make the first one a family affair!
•John Mörk for the always amazing design work!
•Everyone else! Thank you for spreading the word, getting behind the night in various ways, and most importantly coming out (in numbers) with great attitudes, warm vibes, smiling faces, and dancing feet (including a reportedly dancing and smiling Metro/Smartbar big boss, Joe Shanahan)! Special shouts to those who crossed state lines to be with us! I’m not sure we could have asked for a better group of people to be with Saturday night!

With SPORK our priorities are to create a fun community-centered event that doesn’t take itself too seriously (it’s called Spork for fuck’s sake) while providing a night that also showcases the Underground House sound we know and love. Thanks for helping to kick off the event in the FUN manner we envisioned! Recordings from the night coming soon!
